Quick Details
Who Should Take These Courses/Prerequisites
You don’t have to log many dives to take the Advanced Open Water Course. It is designed specifically to launch the advancement of your diving! As a result, you can start anytime after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification.
All students must complete a Medical Statement before participating in any course. Should any of the medical history items noted on the Statement apply to you, you will need to consult with a physician. If appropriate, the physician will give you their written permission to participate in scuba diving.

After completing your Open Water Diver certification, earn your Advanced Open Water/Advanced Adventurer card with 5 dives in 2 days. This is a great vacation course as this class is self-study and thorough on-boat and in-water briefings.
We recommend completing the academic material before starting the course to get the most out of the class. You can purchase the PADI E-Learning module directly from Dive Provo. Once you have purchased the module from us, we will provide you with a code to access the course on the PADI website. For SSI divers Dive Provo will extend access to the academic material upon booking.
You can read the material at home in your own time before coming on vacation and be prepared for the practical aspects of the course that you will complete on the dives with your instructor. You will learn Peak Performance Buoyancy, increase your knowledge of Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation, and, especially appropriate here, Underwater Naturalist and Boat Diving procedures.

-
INCLUDES:
- Two days 2-tank boat dives with an instructor
- PADI or SSI Certification Card fee

ITINERARY:
Day 1: You will have read the material at home in your own time prior to coming on vacation and be prepared for the practical aspects of the course that you will complete on the dives with your instructor.
On your way to the first dive site, your instructor will assess your diving level, talk about weighting, air consumption, and buoyancy control. The first dive will be Peak Performance Buoyancy as having good control in the water is the key to enjoying the activity. The second dive of the day is Navigation. Once you learn a little more than the basics you learned in your open water class you will feel a lot more confident in your abilities to find the boat without coming to the surface to look for it.
Day 2: The Deep Dive. For safety reasons, this is the first dive of the day. You will now be officially certified to dive to 100ft. The next 2 dives are Underwater Naturalist; and Boat Diver. A basic understanding of what you are seeing is important to fully appreciate the marine environment, and boat diving procedures and etiquette for all those future trips to explore our underwater world.
Your instructor will give you Nitrox for the third dive of the day and if not also adding the Nitrox certification will briefly explain the reason and safety factors involved. If you are also becoming Nitrox Certified you will have another tank of Nitrox available for your next dive with Dive Provo.
