We encourage everyone to bring their personal water bottles which can be filled with filtered water from our coolers. Don’t worry if you forget, we have cups. Pre-packaged snacks are offered on all trips along with a small sandwich for the longer days.
Our staff would like to go over a few of the questions they hear the most often. Knowing what to expect takes a lot of stress off of vacation planning, so let us know if there are other questions we can help you with!

Pre-paid transfers from hotels to the dive boats are available from most resorts for $20.00 per person round trip by Juney taxi, an accredited company adhering to all recognized safety protocols. These can be booked at the time of booking your diving. If you are unsure whether you will be renting a car, you can buy transfers online at a later date.
We encourage car rentals for the freedom of movement around the island.

Divers depart at 8:00 am for the docks at Turtle Cove Marina for diving along Provo’s north shore and from our dock at the Caicos Marina and Shipyard (Long Bay), on the south side of the island, for trips to West Caicos and French Cay.
Two-Tank Return Times: Return times from two-tank dives can be any time between 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm, depending upon the destination. The south side trips have the later return times.
-
A single tank afternoon dive is offered between 1:00 and 2:30 pm to the closest dive area of Grace Bay.
These dives are not always possible during the winter months. Therefore we do not pre-book single tank dives. They can always be booked pretty much last minute on the island.

We are happy to offer a three-tank dive upon request, with a minimum of 8 divers to run the trip.

Non-divers are welcomed on the boats on a space-available basis. Most of the year space is available. However, at peak times there may not be room. All of the dive sites are too deep for snorkeling. Passengers may snorkel around the boat or swim to cool off, however, the dive areas do not deliver the best snorkeling experience. We recommend you plan separate trips to enjoy with non-divers.
Dive Provo does run dedicated snorkeling trips. Our southside snorkel trip to either West Caicos or French Cay is quite popular. We use our dive boats not always available during peak holiday times. The sites chosen depend on wind conditions on the day. These areas are visited infrequently by snorkel boats and offer untouched reefs. There is also the chance for snorkelers to see some of the bigger sea life normally seen only by divers.
Afternoon snorkeling trips are scheduled more often during the summer months for 2 hours of purely snorkeling out in Grace Bay.

During the winter the water temperature can drop as low as 74 F degrees. During the summer, it goes up to about 84 F degrees. Our rental wet suits are 3 mm full suits in winter and 3 mm shorties in the summer. Small women tend to feel the cold more than bigger people. We have 5 mm full suits in smaller sizes for the winter and have hoods on the boats for additional warmth. Most of the summer, no suits are needed at all!

Two-tank and three-tank boat dives visit all the dive areas around Provo, including Grace Bay, Northwest Point, West Caicos, French Cay, Pine Cay, and Sandbore Channel. For divers taking advantage of a package, we try to rotate dives around all the areas, so you get a taste of the variety Turks and Caicos scuba diving offers.

Although they look close on a map both Grand Turk and Salt Cay are about 90 miles from Provo. To dive those areas you need to plan to stay there a few days.
